Unbeaten Documentary

Posted on February 16, 2011

Hi Everyone…
Today I want to discuss one of our Documentaries called “UNBEATEN” and I think it says everything that needs to be said when it comes to making it to the finish line of anything you decide to do.

All the crap excuses we give ourselves for not doing better or giving up on reaching our goals because it is all to hard.

We are very good at playing the blame game it is the the fault of our parents, partners, government, weather and the list goes on . I have heard every excuse there is because I talk with people all over the world about my business opportunity.

They all want more money, more time to enjoy it, but have every excuse to give WHY they are not more successful right now.
Guess what as hard as it is to hear
“YOU”
are the very reason why you are not where you want to be right now.

Good news is if you educate yourself on Success and how to make it happen you can change things around very quickly.(I did)

Remember these words .

I’am the absolute Supreme authority over MY OWN LIFE

Now here is a little bit about the Documentary…..
When I watched this Movie I realised that I should be grateful for many things in my LIFE that I took for granted.( I also shed a few tears for these very brave men)

Now I know to set my goals
Make a plan , Follow that plan
and don’t complain about some minor challenges along the way.

If it is meant to be then it is up to me

“UNBEATEN” (use this link to watch trailer on Utube)

Unbeaten, the second film from award-winning documentary filmmaker Steven C. Barber, is an inspirational story that chronicles the exploits of 31 disabled athletes as they make their way over six days in wheelchairs and hand cycles in what is known as the toughest road race in the world, “Sadlers Alaska Challenge.” The course winds 267 miles through the mountain passes of Denali National Park between Fairbanks and Anchorage.

The film takes us into the 55 mile-per-day grind of three wheelchair racers, Chris Kohler, Geoffrey Erickson and Edwin Figueroa. The story transitions midway through as the filmmaker follows the elite racers of the US Paralympics squad, Oz Sanchez (current Paralympic Gold Medalist and fastest man in the world in a hand cycle) and Alejandro Albor (Silver Medalist) in their quest to medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

Vanilla Fire Productions has teamed up with Polaris to raise the profile of the disabled athlete and disabled persons worldwide.

The three year odyssey to finish the film came with the help of some very high profile individuals, including Steve Forbes, Eli Broad, Boone Pickens, Cher, Billy Jean King, Tony Hawk, Clint Black, Paula and Sumner Redstone, Larry Hagman, Pamela Anderson and Steve Jobs. Partial proceeds from this film will be given to the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

You can purchase the Unbeaten Documentary here.
you will find it under the TAB giving back

And as mentioned Partial proceeds from this film will be given to the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

I would love for you to share your thoughts on if you are playing the BLAME GAME now or if you have done that in your past what did you change to become responsible for your actions.

Cheers Chrissy

What do you think of CHANGE

Posted on February 9, 2011

Hi Everyone and thanks once again for visiting my blog.

I have been working through my Beyond Freedom Evolution course (which is a 12month success education course) and today the subject was on “Do I like Change”.

To tell you the truth I had never thought of it before but that is the problem with most of us we are not aware of what we think of any situation until we become involved in Personal Development and through self education we do learn to be more in touch with our feelings even to the point of journalling about them.

Just to go off topic for a minute..I hated journalling when I first started but after studying successful people I know they all keep journals.

I think I hated journalling because I had become very clever at having a very thick brick wall built up around me so even I didn’t really know what I was feeling. I had built these walls to protect myself well that is what I told myself anyway. It was easier not to deal with things just let them bounce off my walls and get on with what I thought was more important. Boy was I so wrong.
(but I think that could be another story)

So if I could share with you some of what is written in our Beyond Freedom Evolution course about Change.

“As human beings on this planet,we are all born into a system of change:time passes beneath our lives whether we choose it to or not. We are not given the option to remain unaffected by events throughout our day: we wake up, we get hungry,we eat,we move from one place to the next,we process countless thoughts throughout the day,we act through countless actions and activities, and eventually we get tired and we sleep. It is an integral cycle and process in our lives that never ends.
SO,it is little wonder that we can become very frustrated, anxious, unsettled or unhappy if we don’t make an effort to navigate and direct this naturally occurring process for our good and the good of others.

This was the Exercise to make us think about how we thought of Change

Q…Make a note of how you feel when you think of change.

A…I did think I was happy with change which I’am when I have instigated the change and I think it is a good idea.
But while sitting down and really thinking about
DO I LIKE CHANGE

I don’t think I like it at all when someone else suggests the change so now I have to sit down and work out WHY..is it my ego because I think my way is better.
I suppose what I’m doing now is embracing CHANGE because before becoming involved in my personal development business I would have said who cares what I think of change.

I now know that I will need to embrace change so I can continue to grow as a person on the inside and of course work on that ego thing.

Too often people fight change because they fear the unknown. But for those who are unhappy or unfulfilled in their life, change is the only way out. If you don’t change you will be stuck in the same place for ever.

It may help to think of CHANGE as a friend or ally.

ONE THING TO BEWARE OF …As you become more comfortable with change, you will often meet resistance from those close to you.
Being aware of this makes it easier to recognize.

****THE IMPORTANT CONCEPT HERE IS TO UNDERSTAND AND EMBRACE THAT CHANGE IS NECESSARY FOR SHIFTS TO TAKE PLACE IN YOUR LIFE*****

So now for your exercise ….For the next 7 days think about (and write about) How you feel about CHANGE
How you react to CHANGE

I would love for you to share your thoughts about CHANGE now and after you finish the exercise in 7 days.

To your CHANGE and mine

Six Daily Actions for Succe$$

Posted on February 2, 2011

Hi Everyone…I would like to share with you my 6 Daily Actions that I follow each day and what a difference it has made to my success.

If you would allow me to just give you a little background about myself first.

I have worked very hard and in many different jobs since I started working at the age of 15. ( I’m 49 in a couple of weeks)
I seemed to collect jobs sometimes I would have 3 or 4 at a time.

I also worked the whole time my children were young (this I do regret now) I remember being so tried all the time. My husband also worked long and hard in many different jobs.

We have had business’s of our own during this time as well.
So when we decided to start trading the share market and become property developers I then decided I was going to retire this was about 8 years ago.

So finally I didn’t have to plan anything so each morning when my husband would say what are you doing today I would snap back and say “do I have to know NOW what I’m doing today”. The reason I said this because I was confused over the word discipline. I didn’t want to be disciplined because that is what I thought I had been all the years while I was a work, Now I wanted to be FREE

Well I have to say after getting into my own business in Personal Development I now have my days planned out by using these 6 Daily Actions for Success.(really I have the next 10 years planned out)
Funny thing is that Discipline is what has given me more time in my day to follow my Passions (not my Pension)

Unless you have a definite, precise, clearly set goals, you are not going to realize the maximum potential that lies within you.
- Zig Ziglar

The daily actions that I’m going to share with you are what I use to run a very successful Home Business but they can be adapted to suit all situations.

****************************************************
Six Daily Actions for SUCCE$$

1/ Income producing activities…
so for me that is marketing and talking to future business partners
for you it might be going to work
(what ever you need to do to create an income)

2/ Visualise your goals -10-20 minutes per day.

3/ Personal Development 30 minutes per day.
This could be when you go for walk, gym, swim ( whatever you call your personal development)

4/ Masterminding with Leaders..so if you have people around you that are having the success you would like to have contact them and find out how they started or what is working for them now.
Great way to do this is read books of others that are living the life that you dream of.

5/ Cultivate the expectation that you are going to succeed.
so have a plan in advance then take whatever action you need to take. And know for certain that you will succeed.

6/ Gratitude …make a note in your journal for 5 things you are grateful for now and 5 things that you are grateful for in the future that you will create.

Seems simple enough for sure but what is tricky about simple is that they are simple not to do …that is where discipline comes in.

We need to start with little goals so for example set up your action plan for the day and be disciplined to follow it everyday for a week then everyday for a month soon you will not even have to think about it..

Learn to celebrate your little wins as well as you big wins..

I would love for you to share your results after you put
your action plan into ACTION.

Cheers Chrissy
