In its simplest form, direct selling (aka network marketing) is nothing more than one person promoting or selling a product or service directly to another. Today, an endless variety of products are distributed using the direct selling business model, including vitamins, weight-loss aids, cleaning products, clothing, jewelry, home décor, cookware, legal insurance, travel services, financial products, books, toys, educational and motivational products… and the list goes on. If you have an interest in a particular industry, chances are there’s a direct selling company that supplies products in that category.

Rather than paying for massive advertising efforts and retail outlets, direct selling companies rely on an independent sales force to spread the word about them and their products. Many companies have added social media, print and broadcast advertising campaigns, but most advertising is done person to person, face to face… or Facebook to Facebook.

Perks of becoming a distributor include deep discounts on products and compensation for helping the company attract other distributors. Those who develop a network of independent representatives can leverage their time and maximize their earning potential. Not only are they paid for their own sales, they’re paid a percentage of the sales made by members of their organization (or downline). The more people a direct seller brings into the company, the greater his or her earning potential.

Other benefits can include bonuses and prizes for a job well done. These can include luxury travel, fine jewelry, cash or cars. Beyond the tangible rewards, direct sellers gain other benefits, such as communication and sales skills, greater self-confidence and leadership capabilities.

Getting started as a direct selling representative involves signing on with a company and purchasing a startup kit with brochures, access to online resources and product samples. In many cases, free local training, webinars and teleconferences are available to help representatives learn more. Many companies also hold annual conferences where they offer additional training and recognition.

The Bottom Line

You will need to purchase a startup kit and sign an agreement to become part of a direct selling company. To receive full commissions, you may be required to purchase products on a monthly, bimonthly, quarterly or annual basis, depending on the company.

This type of business can be done in as many or as few hours a week as you choose, which makes it ideal as an income supplement or for building up to a certain level of earnings before leaving a full-time job. That said, to earn a substantial regular commission check, you must commit to treating this opportunity as seriously as you would any other job or business endeavor. You are the boss… your hours are flexible, but not optional.

The Displacement Law

Let us say that you have not been so lucky in the past and you have
absorbed hundreds and thousands of negative thoughts. You have the habit
of addressing yourself, “I’m no good at math,” or “I’m going to get into
trouble!”
Can anything be done about this habit? Absolutely!

You can begin by understanding the principle of displacement.
The way to eliminate depreciating thoughts is to fill your minds with good messages,
so that the negative ones can be automatically dislodged and displaced.
Like everything else, you will learn to talk to yourself more gently and positively
with practice.

Statements of Hope

One way to start-off the practice of running positive streams of selfdialogue through your mind
is to put it on paper.
Your mind easily drifts and because of this, some people find it easier to write their positive messages
this will help direct your concentration.

Here is how it works.

Try to do this first thing in the morning. In your journal each day, jot
down some affirming statements such as these:
· I feel optimistic about the day that is about to unfold.
· I am a competent decision-maker and trust that I’ll do the right things
as I go through this day.
· I enjoy nature and feel good as I look out this window at the foggy
morning.
· I am determined to be self-confident!
· I am enthusiastic and eager for achievement!
· I am thankful for life and opportunity!
· I desire to be influential!
· I resolve to grow and progress!
· I aspire for greatness!
· I have absolute faith in myself!
· I grow daily in courage!
· I am ambitious for conquest!
· I will positively succeed!
· I have set my heart upon truth!
· I aspire for lofty heights!
· I am developing self-reliance!
· I am pushing to the front!
· I shall absolutely win!
These are not so much goals for the day as statements of belief.
When repeated repeatedly, these can change how you think about yourself.

If it is true that you become what you believe, then it will change the
essence of your being

Steps to Building Self Confidence

Hi Everyone…
I’m about to start my 6 week program called Creating Confident Women and I’m very excited.
Creating Confident Women has become such a passion for me because I talk to so many woman all over the world that have contacted me through my business and they are looking for a better lifestyle for themselves and many times their families.
Just filling in their information on my website has been a very big deal for them but they lack the confidence to take any further steps.

So what I would like to do here each week for the next few weeks is just talk about one step that you can take at a time to build your Self Confidence ..your Self Belief …

The one thing you need to repeat every day is this

I’AM THE ABSOLUTE SUPREME AUTHORITY OVER MY OWN LIFE.

You can only be a victim if you allow yourself to be that victim.

STEP ONE.. Start writing a JOURNAL

One way to do an effective self analysis is to start with a personal journey or diary.

Write down your perceptions about self confidence.
Write any thoughts that come to mind. Also try to ask yourself what stops you from getting to a point in your life that you want to achieve.
The idea is to journal about what you are doing ..what you are thinking..and what results you are getting…

These are some more points that it can assist you with
Reduces stress
Sets goals
Organizes
Helps focus
Can improve well-being
Makes time for you
Creates a personal reminder
Becomes a treasured keepsake

When you are done writing, you have just journaled.

Journals are tools to help you discover the wisdom you already possess. Sometimes, this wisdom will surprise you. Other times, it will challenge you. Always, it will come directly from you, empowering you to trust yourself and to take action by giving you the deep-seated knowledge that you know more than you think you do

Living with Bankruptcy

Hi Everyone Today I’m going to share Toby’s success story…for those of you that have not read my other posts here is the basics of our story that I have coped and pasted from my previous post.
You can check out my earlier post where I shared Ali’s story of success.

Hi everyone…Today I would like to touch on our Life as a family since we had to make a business decision 2 years ago to declare bankruptcy.
This bankruptcy not only included my husband and me but our 2 children Toby and Ali. This was because they had personal loans they had used to be part of our Share market and property developing business.
The reason I have decided to share this very private event with you is that if I (we as a family) can be an inspiration to others by what we have experienced then another good thing has come from our decision.
You may have noticed that I did say another good thing you will discover what I mean by that as you read our story.
Just to give you a little bit more of our history.
About 7 years ago we decided to become involved in Share Market trading and to build a property Portfolio. In that time we spent a lot of time and money learning our craft.
We were very success and bought and renovated 5 homes in 2 years
to do this we had highly leveraged yourselves. So with the down turn in the economy we had nearly lost all our capital that was tied up in the Share Market so without that income we had no cash flow to pay any of our loans.
We battled on for a while then had to make the heart breaking decision to declare bankruptcy this meant we also lost our home.
So with about 4 million dollars of cash and assets gone we were in a very big hole financially but emotionally I think the hole was even bigger.
Now the story of Living with Bankruptcy …
This is Toby’s success story…
Some background on Toby and what he has done up until now.
He has always had part time work from a very young age. He worked on a dairy farm while at school also a pet shop.
So not finding school very exciting he left and travelled by himself at the age of 17 to work on a Cattle Station in Far North Queensland. Loved the work but not the pay so came back and started his own business in the Horse Industry and as a saddle maker.
He had been doing that up until we became involved in the share market. He obtained a personal loan and started trading the share market.
As you now know that did not go so well for us.
So after Toby had to declare bankruptcy he had to make some pretty hard decisions about what he was going to do from here.
We had to move away from our property and this is where Toby had created a business in the Horse Industry.
He assisted other horse’s owners with their horses and started many young horses for them also.
We had collected about 20 horses at this stage and could not move all of them to our next property here in Tamworth.
So Toby had to make some tough decisions to sell some of his horse that were true friends and partners. These horses we had bred ourselves and he had started them all as riding horses. If you have ever watched someone start a horse using natural horsemanship then you know that it is a beautiful partnership.
Two of our mares that were too old for the long trip in the horse truck had to be put down as they need too much care because of their age and condition. (Very hard and sad decision)
So the next step was to get all the remaining horses ready to travel the 10 hour trip.
They all arrived here safe and sound and are living a fantastic life in knee high grass.
Starting a new business in a new area was a little tough so Toby got himself a part time job and worked on marketing his saddles but this was not creating money fast enough for his very big dreams and ambitions.
So being the Entrepreneur that we taught our children to be he thought about what business he could do without having huge overheads or set up cost.
He has created Toby’s Lawn and Garden Care. After selling one of his saddles he bought all brand new equipment to make sure he could do the best job possible.
His business has only been going 4-6 weeks and is already generating over $1,000 per week.
It is possible to generate up to $2,500 per week in this area doing this business so of course that is his target.
But that is not the end goal he is already working on setting up a Livestock transportation business and looking at starting a business in pasture slashing and pastures improvement.
Looking further ahead he will be investing in Real Estate properties around our local area.
Well I’m not sure what you think but I think that is a story of success that I think he should be very proud off.
