Unbeaten
This Story is very emotional the ‘Unbeaten’ Documentary which is receiving international acclaim, airing at the Sundance Film Festival in January, been reviewed on television stations like CNN and most recently winning A Worldfest Bronze Remi award. With the huge global success of the film and the difference it is making to people around the world, I’m sure this will just be the first of many awards to come.
This amazing story follows Edwin Figueroa, Chris Kohler, Geoffrey Ericson and gold medalist Oscar Sanchez as they take on the toughest race in the world – The Sadler’s Alaska Challenge. Imagine traveling 267 miles over 6 days through mountain passes and national parks, and doing it all in a wheelchair or hand cycle. Now for most able-bodied people this race would be a massive accomplishment, however it is a completely new level of achievement given that all the racers are paraplegics.
This is a story of sheer determination, strength of spirit and willingness to fulfill personal goals no matter what circumstances life has thrown their way.
“The path to success is to take massive, determined action.” – Anthony Robbins
Surfing With the Enemy
Surfing with the Enemy is the story of a core group of Cuban surfers struggling to establish a niche for their sport in Cuba’s restrictive society. With Eduardo Valdes, founder of the Havana Surf Association and patriarch of Cuban surfing, serving as our guide, we travel across the island to the wave-rich Guantanamo province, home to the U.S. Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay.
Chasing waves along this controversial coast, we discover a forbidden paradise just miles from our own border, and learn what it means to be a surfer and a citizen of modern-day Cuba.
